In Delaware, assisted living facilities and nursing settings care for vulnerable adults and seniors who depend on staff in an emergency. To keep residents safe, the nursing assistants who provide hands-on care must be trained in CPR and basic life support.

急救要求
The Delaware Board of Nursing requires nursing assistants who staff these settings to hold Healthcare Provider-level CPR/BLS certification — adult, child and infant CPR, AED use, two-person assist and bag-valve-mask — completed with a hands-on skills component. Care staff must be able to intervene until emergency services arrive.
A recognized, up-to-date CPR/BLS certificate is the way to meet this standard; it is in addition to the aide's occupational training and must be renewed periodically.
