Eisen voor reanimatie en EHBO voor kinderopvang
First Aid & CPR Delaware
Delaware's DELACARE regulations (9 DE Admin Code 101, § 34), administered by the Department of Education's Office of Child Care Licensing, require staff qualified to be alone with children to obtain classroom-based first aid and CPR certification — each requiring a skills demonstration — during an orientation period of no more than two months after hire. At least one certified staff member must be present during all hours of operation, including field trips, and direct-care staff also receive annual training in CPR, first aid and medication administration. A blended course that includes the required in-person skills component satisfies the certification.
Anafylaxie en medicatietoediening
In Delaware, staff must hold Administration of Medication certification — which includes anaphylaxis and epinephrine auto-injector training — to give any medication, and only with written consent from the parent and the prescriber. Medications are stored out of children's reach. With that training in place, a caregiver can spot a severe reaction and use the auto-injector confidently while emergency help is on its way.
A choking child or one who has stopped breathing depends entirely on the adult already beside them; help summoned by phone is still minutes away. Certification keeps that first response steady and informed, honors the trust families place in your program each day, and keeps your center meeting Delaware's requirement. A recognized course blending online study with a hands-on skills session fits neatly inside the state's two-month orientation window.
